Animal Shows for Children’s Parties

Children’s Entertainers are often used for children’s birthday parties, first communion parities, graduation parties, but can also be used for child friendly events at your local, church, firehouse, library, or community event. There are so many different ones out there; it can at times seem overwhelming. Your best bet is to find a listing of entertainers in your area and choose the best for your intended crowd of kids.

Animals are often popular with children and a great way to go if you want something easy that everyone young and old can enjoy. Farm animals are popular with the young pre-school aged children. Often they are a set of warm, fuzzy, friendly, non-threatening animals. They often come from a local farm that is looking to make a side income and are usually affordable. They generally come with low fencing the can be quickly set up and allows the children to pet the animals, while also keeping the animals safe from tiny unfamiliar hands. Animals usually include pigmy goats, sheep, bunny rabbits and a pig.

Pony rides are always fun and exciting for pre-school through young school-aged children. At times you can find a local farm who will host parties. Often you are invited to use the barn for your cake and ice cream and to open gifts. Either before or after, children are given the opportunity to ride a pony, which is sometimes dressed for the occasion in a party hat or silly vest. The children typically ride 2 loops around a pre-determined circle. The birthday child almost always gets unlimited rides. At times you can have the pony come to your home, and you are charged by the hour and mileage and must have room enough for the handler’s truck and trailer, as well as a flat area for the ride. Either way, this is always a fun way to celebrate and the picture opportunities are priceless.

Reptile animals are also popular with school-aged children. Often these come with two handlers and the animals are kept in cages. They are presented in a show format with the audience seated and the handler presenting. The handlers bring them out one at a time, talk about the animal, and let the children view from afar. They generally start with less threatening animals, such as lizards, frogs, and work their way up to the more exotic and scary ones such as baby crocodile, finishing the finale with a snake or two. It is not uncommon for picture opportunities with the snakes, often wrapped around the children. Not for the faint of heart. Choosing which animal show comes to your party isn’t usually a difficult decision. Just talk to you child, and the squeal of excitement when mentioned will let you know which way to go.
