These
books feature adoption stories based on true events that took
place
at the Temporary Home for
Children started by Larry and Claire
Boggs and their children. They are compiled to help children
relate to life in another country, and to teach Christian values
and good
morals.

If you are
a family praying about adopting just the child God has for you,
even if that child lives far away in a foreign
country,
the Mama Clarita Stories will encourage and inspire you. Children
in your family will enjoy hearing about Marta, Gilbert and Terry,
all children from Guatemala, and come to understand what blessings
God bestows on adoptive families.
Written especially
for grade school children, these international adoption stories
will bless
your life. Knowing that God takes
care of children far away without homes or families strengthens
a young
child’s faith and develops compassion toward those less
fortunate.
These books
need to be in every church library to enrich understanding
of international adoption and to help children connect with
other cultures.
Parents who
home school will find these books valuable additions
to their curriculum to build Christian morals and a loving
heart for children from other countries.

About
the Author
Claire Boggs
was born in Portland, Oregon. She married Larry Boyd Boggs in the
year 1965, and
they made their home and raised a family in Wichita,
Kansas.
The Boggs have four married children and 11 grandchildren. They have been
missionaries in Guatemala since 1978, where they established seven
missions and helped in
the building of the Baptist Seminary, a hospital, and the children’s
home for abandoned children.
Hogar Cuna de
Quetzaltenango, Guatemala started out of a love for children who
had no family to care for them. Eagle’s Nest Children’s
Home and Retreat Center in Solola, is the new name and location of
the home started by the Boggs; Larry and Claire will continue as
directors. The Eagle’s
Nest is located in the mountains above the one of the most beautiful
lakes in the world. It is surrounded by three magnificent volcano's
up as high as the eagle’s fly. Eagle’s Nest works in
coordination with Special Delivery International, Inc. to “Unite
Children with Families and Families with Children.”
“Through these books we hope to encourage more
families to consider adoption
for the children waiting for their forever families,” says
Claire Boggs.
Book purchases
help the ministry of the Boggs and Eagle's
Nest, Children’s Homes in Guatemala and the care for needy
children.

Testimonials
My wife and
I have been involved in Claire’s ministry to orphans
in Guatemala for almost fifteen years now. Because we got to meet
Marta at the orphanage, and because her story was so dramatic, we
believe this publication is an answer to prayer. Now we’re
hoping that Claire will write more stories that illustrate the grace
and goodness of God to more of “Clarita’s ninos!”
Dr. Paul Calmes
Pastor, First Baptist, Shawnee, OK
As an adoptive mother of a Guatemalan boy and an elementary
school principal, I was touched by the book, “Six Months in the Same Boots,” by author
Claire Boggs. Mama Clarita’s love and prayers bring young Gilbert back
home after following Terry’s plans to run away from the children’s
home.
