A widely preferred fabric, due to a texture that is not excessively heavy, is cotton and you will see it in a lot clothes. Cotton is oftentimes produced in such a way that is not good for the environment. It is not good for the environment that fertilizers and plenty of water are necessary to produce cotton. Pesticides, which are likewise not earth friendly, can play a part in the cultivation process. If you are looking for goods that are fair trade then cotton will often not fall into that category. If you check, you may well find cotton that fulfills fair trade requirements or is classified as organic, meaning it could be considered green. Virtually all retailers that sell earth friendly cotton will be inclined and even proud to state so, but if they’re not willing to tell you then most probably they’re not earth friendly.

Lastly, we have wool, a really plush and comfortable textile used in lots of nice clothing. Wool is used in many clothes whether it be socks or a hat and scarf. There are things you still need to look into, even though we may assume wool is earth friendly as it comes from an animal. For wool to be considered organic, you must know that the sheep have been feeding on organically grown food. The treatment of the sheep is also something you should know about. Sheep that are allowed to freely roam and eat grass are regarded to be brought up humanely and naturally; nonetheless their wool will be more pricy. Research is needed if you are to determine the wool has been obtained from sheep farmed in the right fashion.
