The
following is listing of what items are included in Special Delivery
International’s
Adoption Fee. Also estimated are the fees you will pay which
are not included in the Adoption Fee.
Included in
the Adoption Fee:
- Authentication
of documents by Guatemalan Consulate
- Placement
fee
- Legal fees
for adoption completed in Guatemala
- Childcare
for up to 6 months ($250 per month thereafter)
- Normal medical
services (up to $200)
- HIV, Hepatitis
B., and VD testing
- Arrangement
of the Guatemalan Passport
- Arrangement
of the medical exam required for U.S. Visa
- Arrangement
of hotel and transportation in Guatemala
- Escort of
your child to Guatemala City and the escort will do the following:
- Be
present at the Airport when you arrive.
- Escort you
to the hotel.
- Escort you
to the Embassy for your interview the following day.
- Pick up
child’s Visa at the appointed time.
- Accompany
you to the airport and assist you in clearing immigration
in Guatemala
- Translation
of all documents into Spanish for adoption
- Translation
of all documents into
English from Spanish
once the adoption
is final

- Home
Study (Varies from
state to state)
- INS Fees
($670.00 application
and $160
fingerprints)
- Round trip
airfare to
and from
Guatemala for
you or
the escort
(Usually around
$500 -
$700 each)
- Escort Fee
to the
USA ($500.00)
if applicable.
- Medical
expenses
of child
if over
$200.00
- Any travel
or lodging
other than
normal adoption
business. Example:
Travel to
Ruins of
Antigua or
Tikal.
- Travel to
see Eagle’s Nest in Solola ($300.00
donation to Children’s
Home) if desired.
- DNA Testing
if applicable

the USA,

on the
