Special Delivery came through not once, but twice for our family! We adopted our first child, our son, a few years ago, and really thought that he would be an only child. But God definitely had different plans in mind for us! A year after he came home, we felt a strong desire to add to our family, so, we called Special Delivery again to help us adopt our daughter. Through each adoption, they were there for us each step of the way. We never felt as if we couldn’t pick up the phone to call them and ask a question, or send an email to ask about the children or request new pictures, or updates. What a joy to see a new picture arrive by e-mail with a bit of information about your child! They know just how much that means to you as a parent, and they take the extra time out of their day to do that for you. It makes the paperwork and the waiting so much easier. Special Delivery International was blessed by this recent letter from Stephen in Illinois. Stephen was the first child cared for by Larry and Claire Boggs in 1979. They found his “forever family” a short time later. Hello Daniel and Claire, This is Stephen, son of Stephen and Carol. First off, the technology of today (i.e. the Internet) has provided me the opportunity to contact those that have given me so much. My mother had informed me of the "Poor Marta" publishing a while back, and a quick search provided a wealth of information. Aside from book, the intent of this email is to express my heartfelt thanks for what you have provided me. Your family's devotion to helping others is beyond description. From the day I could understand my Mother she explained to me that I was a blessing due in part to angels on Earth, the Boggs. It has been years since we have seen each other, talked, etc., but I wanted you to know that my quality of life has exceeded even my own expectations. I will always be grateful to your family for finding MY family. Throughout my life I have thought about what is and what could have been and I thank the Lord. How fortunate I am to have been able to experience the love, devotion, and support of my family, as a direct result of each one of you. I have been given good health, an excellent education, and most importantly the love of a family. They have provided me with so much and allowed me to develop the necessary skills such that I can enjoy my life being confident in my own capabilities/abilities. Your family is one in a million!
